This privacy policy applies to the Runes Pictish Lite and Runes Pictish PRO applications and the Pictish Mystic website at pictishmystic.online.

Information we collect

The rune-reading applications do not require an account and do not ask users to provide personal information. The reading and interpretation features operate on the user’s device.

Saved readings

If a user chooses to save a reading, it is stored locally on that device. Pictish Mystic does not receive or remotely store saved readings. Users can remove saved readings using the controls provided in the application or by clearing the application’s local data.

Internet access and external links

The core rune-reading features are designed to work offline. The applications and website may include optional links to external services such as Google Play, PayPal, Amazon Kindle, TikTok, WhatsApp or email. When a user opens an external service, that service’s own privacy policy and data practices apply. Pictish Mystic does not control information collected by those third parties.

Physical rune orders

If a customer orders physical mahogany obsidian runes, PayPal processes the payment and may collect the customer’s name, contact information and delivery address under PayPal’s own privacy policy. Pictish Mystic does not receive or store the customer’s payment-card or bank details.

Customers may also choose to send delivery and order details by email using the website order form. This may include the customer’s name, email address, delivery address, selected rune numbers or names, PayPal transaction reference and an optional message. This information is used only to confirm, prepare, dispatch and support the physical order, and to meet legal or accounting obligations where applicable.

Order emails and delivery records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the order, handle questions or returns, and comply with applicable legal requirements. Customers may request access, correction or deletion where the law allows by using the contact address below.

Children’s privacy

The applications are not designed to collect personal information from children. No account, profile, location or advertising identifier is required to use the rune-reading features.

Security and retention

Because readings are stored locally, users control their retention on their own device. Reasonable steps are taken to keep the website and application packages secure, but no electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the applications, website or legal requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this address, with the revision date shown above.
